Souls within souls...

These are the bits of information on the soul within a soul idea that i have scanned in from my sketchbook alongside some hungarian imagery and some sketches of North American Indian costumes from the British Museum (also some old bird sketches that i thought were appropriate!)

Also- this is the story that originally made me start researching the soul within a soul idea-

" In another Hindoo tale an Ogre is asked by his daughter, 'Papa, where do you keep your soul?'
'Sixteen miles away from this place'  said,  'is a tree. Round the tree are tigers and bears and scorpions and snakes; on top of the tree is a very great fat snake; on his head is a little cage; in the cage is a bird; and my soul is in that bird' " ...
